Create Healthy Habits, Not Restrictions

Let’s admit it! All of us want to stay healthy. But at the same time, it’s really difficult to give up on all those yummy and delicious foods. Now here is the catch - staying healthy is all about discipline and not sacrifice. 

Too much structure always leads to the need for change. Boredom is real, and so are cravings. When we start putting too many restrictions, boredom finds its route to our lives (at least the dietary routine part of it), and that develops a craving for different food. You can put as many restrictions as you want, but at the end of the day, that feeling of unfulfillment will backfire. You can control it for a week, a month or maybe longer, but if your mind is not satisfied, you are at a loss.


So, here is what you can do:

  1. Set realistic expectations
  2. Restructure your plan to achieve the target expectations
  3. If you're craving to eat something which might add some extra calories, then compensate for it by burning those extra calories.
  4. Carry healthy snacks
  5. Do not follow the "all or nothing approach." "Something is better than nothing" can come handy here.
  6. Enjoy the food that you and eat. Appreciate it.
