Checking in on you...

Christina Carlini, Trusted Nutrients

As I sit at my desk weeks into the “safer at home” quarantine, with a mix of gray and brown hair peeking through my blonde curly locks, I have had you on my mind.

I’m usually an upbeat person who tends to find the positive aspect of things. Yet, for the first 7 days of this quarantine, I was pretty much a walking zombie.

I started to have nightmares, my newfound anxiety turned on overdrive, and sound sleep was starting to escape me.

One of my many nightmares was trying to figure out how my best friend would be my daughter’s guardian if my husband and I were to die from this virus.

What if my best friend died and we died, who would be my daughter’s guardian at that point?

It just went on and on.

What did I do to snap out of it?

Ever since my mom died, I tend to look for signs amongst her things. I know, it doesn’t make sense to most but to me, it has become the starting point to questions I need answers to.

There it was, in the cabinet staring at me in the face. She had all of these supplements that were either brand new or barely used.  L-theanine for sleep, Oil of Oregano for cold and flu and Slippery Elm for sore throat.

I immediately added L-theanine to my Trusted Nutrients Ashwagandha bedtime routine, and after 3 days of sound sleep, I was literally a new person.

If you have never heard of L-theanine, it’s an amino acid that is not produced by the human body. It’s usually found in green and black tea and is known to influence your mood and sleep. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding or taking blood pressure or stimulant medication, you should not use L-theanine.

As you may or may not know, homeopathy and supplements do not work overnight. You have to take it for a few days, sometimes weeks, or months for it to have a full effect.

So, what is my daily vitamin and supplement routine?

Every morning I take Garlic, Slippery Elm, Vitamin C, Probiotic, Oil of Oregano, Omega 3, Elderberry, Zinc, Calcium w Magnesium, B12 spray, Vitamin D3 drops/spray, B Complex, our TN Resveratrol and TN Turmeric.

In the end, will this all work? I want to believe so. As always, speak to your medical doctor before adding any supplements to your diet.

Stay safe, stay healthy and stay tuned.
